We hope you are staying safe and warm!

Winter weather can be hazardous! In some cases, OCS and the Cooper Community Resource Center may have to close for the safety of our staff and clients. In general, we will remain open even if a Level 1 snow emergency is declared by the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office. In the event of a Level 2 snow emergency, we will do our best to remain open but staffing and services may be limited — please watch our website and social media accounts for updates and closure announcements. In a Level 3 snow emergency, we will immediately close.

Please be safe when conditions are hazardous! During periods of extreme temperatures, wind, snow, lightning, and other adverse conditions, please avoid showing up early to wait for the choice pantry doors to open. We do not want you to risk your health and wellbeing by exposing yourself to the elements… and we promise there is no need to line up for a long wait. There will be enough food for everyone!
