The People's Garden

The People’s Garden is our on-site community garden, where everyone in our community can work together to grow fresh food. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, lettuces and herbs while providing education and growth for our community. The People’s Garden is located at the back of the Cooper Community Resource Center, 500 E. Lorain St., Oberlin!

Garden Programs & Workshops

We have a variety of initiatives to provide growth and learning opportunities through our community garden. We are always expanding our programming to meet community needs, so if you have ideas or would like to get involved, let us know!

Build-a-Garden

The Build-a-Garden Program is a garden access campaign run by Oberlin Community Services. Build-A-Garden helps promote access to nutritious food and builds resiliency by providing Oberlin residents with all the materials and support needed to start their own home gardens. This program is contingent on a grant. Stay tuned for exciting news as funding becomes available!

Little Sprouts 2024

June 24-28

Little Sprouts is a free summer camp where children ages 6 through 12 can learn about gardening, fresh food sources, ecosystems, and much more.

Online registration will open April 22.

Garden Workshops

Our gardening workshops provide community members to learn more about gardening for free, and we often collaborate with other local organizations to provide the widest range of information possible. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram, or watch our postings at the Cooper Center for info as these events are scheduled.
