A note from Cindy Andrews, Executive Director

Greetings from 285 S. Professor Street. We are excited to share with you our latest news. Our updated website has been designed to connect you better to our work at Oberlin Community Services. As you know, community is in our name and drives everything that we do, day in and day out to serve our clients in Oberlin and southern Lorain County.
Over the last sixty plus years, we have been recognized as a responsive community organization. It is part of our mission statement and guides the work we do on a daily basis. Whether that is doubling the number of children fed through the summer meals programs, reaching seniors with their monthly senior food distribution or our Saturday produce distribution every month, our primary focus is food. Our daily food pantry offers healthy choices to over 1,100 families monthly. Additionally, our educational tutoring and GED and National Career Readiness Certificate programs are models for the community and the county, touching individuals and families in a lasting and sustaining way.

We hope you can join us on this journey. We are always looking for volunteers across our many program areas. Join us in the afternoon in our food pantry or our garden, or work behind the scenes in our food warehouse or with our GED or summer youth programs. And lastly, yes, your dollars do make a difference. Every dollar donated feeds a family of four or provides emergency assistance to those most in need.

The coffee is always on. Hope to see you at 285 S. Professor Street in the coming weeks.
