We are a responsive community organization that provides direct assistance, referrals, outreach services and educational support to community members who seek help meeting basic needs.


Located in Ohio, we serve Oberlin, New Russia Township and southern Lorain County.


  July Free Produce Distribution


Please come to our free produce distribution in July. This is for anyone living in Lorain County. Just bring a photo ID. You may walk-through OR drive-through. We look forward to seeing you. 


Summer Food Service Program!

Free summer lunches available starting June 18th for anyone in Oberlin ages 0-18 who qualifies for free and reduced price lunch. No ID or paperwork required! Call for more information.

Networking luncheons

Another successful networking luncheon, this time with South Lorain County LINC (Local Initiative to Network Compassion) is a collaboration of police, fire, ems, churches, school administrations, non-profit organizations and individuals committed to serve people looking to overcome their addiction and the families of those addicts.  For more information on our Networking Luncheons, please call us at 774-6579.

volunteer training schedule

Volunteer training classes are held every third Thursday of the month from 5:30-6:30 pm at OCS. Volunteers must attend a session at least once every six months. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rosa Gadsden at rosa@oberlincommunityservices.org.

Tutoring & Adult learning

We offer a variety of Tutoring programs for children of all ages. We also offer GED classes for Adult Learning.
