Oberlin News-Tribune, November 9, 2010 -- Oberlin residents are invited to sign up for several holiday programs through Oberlin Community Services, 285 S. Professor St.
There will be a special holiday food distribution for singles and families on Monday, Dec. 14.
There is also a program available called Holiday Helping Hands through which volunteers donate gifts to Oberlin children, ages 17 and younger, on Friday, Dec. 17.
Residents can sign up for the programs on Saturday, Nov. 13, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the monthly food distribution at OCS.
Additional sign-ups will be accepted Monday through Friday, Nov. 15-19, 10 a.m. to noon, and 1-4 p.m.
Families who would like to receive gifts through Holiday Helping Hands should bring a list of their children's clothing and shoe sizes and special gift requests to complete the request form.
Recipients must provide photo identification and address verification. Call OCS at 774-6579 for assistance.
Residents of Wellington, and Wellington, Penfield, Pittsfield, Camden, Rochester, Brighton and Huntington townships should contact Well-Help at 647-2689 or the Salvation Army at 647-7600 for assistance.
