Community Foundation Gives OCS $1,000
June 17, 2010 -- Linda Arbogast, director of Oberlin Community Services, accepts a check for $1,000 from the Community Foundation of Lorain County in honor of the foundation's 30th anniversary. The foundation is giving away $30,000 during the month of June, $1,000 a day. The Community Foundation has granted more than $177,000 to Oberlin Community Services, with a first grant of $1,100 in 1981 for a new freezer. With her are OCS board members Pastor David Hill and Gary Kornblith; Brian Frederick, president/CEO of the Community Foundation of Lorain County (CFLC); and CLFC board member Don Illig.
