Our Mission:

Oberlin Community Services is a responsive community organization that provides direct assistance, referrals and other services to Oberlin area residents and groups who need help in meeting their basic needs.

Since 1955, Oberlin Community Services (OCS) has supported the community in sensitive and caring ways. The OCS staff, Oberlin College work-study students, and more than a hundred volunteers join forces with schools, churches, medical and social service providers, civic groups, businesses, and government to offer a wide array of services to low-income citizens of Oberlin and Southern Lorain County.

Oberlin Community Services welcomes contributions of cash and food. OCS also encourages gifts of stocks and mutual funds. This kind of gift allows the donor to receive a charitable deduction for the full, fair-market value of the gift without being subject to a capital gains tax on the appreciation. All gifts to OCS are tax deductible as allowed by federal and state law.

For questions about giving to OCS, please contact the Executive Director, Ann L. Fuller, Ph.D. She can be reached by phone at (440) 774-6579. Our mailing address is:
