Client Services Utilities

utility formsOCS can help clients with basic utility fees as well as deposit and reconnect fees. Funding is available for all clients in the service area, although non-Oberlin residents are not eligible for all funding sources. The funds we give to a client are determined on a case-by-case basis. Clients needing utility assistance must bring disconnect notices, if applicable, and accompanying bills.

The Caring Fund

This fund was established several years ago with the sole purpose of assisting Oberlin utility customers who are experiencing financial hardship such as loss of income, illness, or death of a family member. Eligibility for these funds is determined by the Oberlin Community Services Council. Oberlin utility bills are automatically be rounded up to the next whole dollar with the difference going to the Caring Fund.
