housing Rental assistance is usually available February through August when Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) funding is available. Many clients needing rental assistance are referred to the Housing Service Program through the Nord Center. Lorain County residents who qualify may receive money for preventing foreclosures or evictions, paying security deposits, and paying the rent.
